Heartland Catfish

Heartland Catfish Company is a state-of-the-art catfish processing facility, owned and operated by Tackett Fish Farms. The 135,000 square feet facility was designed and built to maintain the highest efficiencies while producing the highest quality catfish products in the industry.

To insure the freshness of our products, we designed our plant around some of the most advanced environmental controls available at the time. We can control and monitor air and water temperatures in all areas of the processing plant, which insures our customers of receiving a product, that is the freshest in the industry.

 Heartland Catfish are the most pampered fish you can buy, for one reason, they are never out of our hands, we control every stage of their life from the hatching process to final products. With over approximately 9,000 water acres of ponds, Tackett Fish Farms is the largest producer of farm raised catfish in the world.

Using a very hands on approach, the owners William Tackett, Jim Tackett and Joe Walker, carefully monitor and participate in the daily operations of the organization.
